According to a report by HITC Sport, a quartet of Football League clubs are chasing Liverpool youngster Lloyd Jones.
Liverpool’s Lloyd Jones is attracting interest from the Championship and League One as four clubs eye a deal to sign the young defender on a permanent transfer.
Jones is not getting much of a look in at Liverpool and could leave Anfield this month to kick start his career elsewhere.
The 22-year-old has never played a senior game for the Reds and given the recent big money arrival of Virgil Van Dijk, his chances of getting a first team match are looking increasingly slim.
Jones has previously spent four loan spells away from Merseyside.
Cheltenham Town, Accrington Stanley, Blackpool and Swindon Town have all had Jones on loan in recent years but Liverpool have previously refused to sell him permanently.
However, a quartet of clubs are now hoping Liverpool can be tempted into selling him.
Championship side Bolton Wanderers are hopeful that they can snap up Jones after Reece Burke was recalled by West Ham.
Burke scored in the FA Cup for the Hammers and he could stay in East London after impressing David Moyes.
Bolton face competition from League One trio Wigan Athletic, Bradford City and Oxford United.
Lloyd Jones needs a move away to build his career back up from the lower leagues. A move to a promotion chasing League One side could be preferable – he would get experience in the third tier before getting the opportunity to move up to Championship level. The youngster certainly has plenty of potential and – at the right price – he could be an ideal signing.
