Bolton Wanderers want out-of-contract Blackburn Rovers man to spearhead new-look attack

Published

on

Bolton Wanderers are planning on bolstering their attacking options with a move for Blackburn Rovers striker Danny Graham, according to a report by Sun journalist Alan Nixon.

The target man is vastly experienced at Championship level and his 17 goals were a contributing factor towards Rovers finishing second in League One and winning promotion last season.

Graham will see his contract at Ewood Park expire this summer and Bolton boss Phil Parkinson is hoping to take advantage of the situation, although it is thought he has been offered fresh terms by his current club.

The Trotters narrowly avoided an instant return to League One by securing survival on the final day of the 2017/18 campaign and Parkinson knows that he must add more goals to his ranks ahead of August.

Bolton aren’t blessed with the biggest budget in the Championship and the signing of a player with Graham’s experience would be a shrewd piece of business if the club can pull it off.

The Verdict

Danny Graham is getting on a bit but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t represent a solid acquisition for a Bolton side that were goal-shy last season.

Not only that, but if Graham does leave Blackburn for rivals Bolton it would deal a hammer blow to another team who will probably have similar aspirations next season.

Bolton fans, would you welcome Graham to your club? Let us know in the comments below!!!
