Eoin Doyle has said that Bolton Wanderers' recent form is 'heaven' to be a part of.

The 33-year-old striker has enjoyed a wonderful season so far for the Trotters after scoring 16 goals already this term.

That has helped Bolton to move themselves into promotion contention with Ian Evatt's side currently sitting in fourth position in the table after a string of strong attacking displays - something that Doyle is incredibly thankful for given the support he has from the rest of the team.

Speaking to The Bolton News, Doyle said: “It’s great for me.

"I am the kind of striker who isn’t going to score out of nothing, I need delivery and service into the box and it’s heaven for me being able to play in this type of team. It suits my game.”

Doyle also reserved special praise for Ian Evatt, saying that the manager has been keen to club's recent upturn in form.

He said: "He has obviously got his man-management spot on.

"Everyone loves playing for him.

“He is a good guy and he puts a lot of detail into the way we set up and how we implement it on the training ground before we come out for a Saturday and a Tuesday night. He has also got a set of lads who listen and know how to do their job so it is all fitting well into each other.

“We enjoyed it because we have got a good rhythm out there and we know our jobs. We work hard during the week and it is paying off.”

The verdict

It's about time that Bolton Wanderers had something to cheer about.

The Trotters are firmly in the mix to secure promotion back to League One this term but there's still an awful lot of football to play.

While their rivals will be hoping that their form slows down I'm sure that many neutrals around the country would love to see the club enjoy promotion as they start their rebuilding process.
