Championship side Bolton Wanderers have received a massive boost in their quest to survive with the news that Arsenal are to speed up some of their owed payments for Rob Holding to help out the Trotters.

According to a report by the Sun, the Gunners are willing to pay some selected add-ons to Wanderers slightly early in order to aid the Lancashire club, and it will no doubt be news which is very well received among the Trotters faithful.

Holding has gone on to become somewhat of a squad regular for Arsenal after signing on at the Emirates earlier in the year. An injury crisis at the back for Arsene Wenger has forced the Frenchman to chuck Holding in maybe more times than he had planned, but Holding has been steadily improving, and the increased appearances are a plus for Bolton.

Bolton have been trying to find new owners for some time and now have been underperforming in the Championship following last season's promotion from League One. Manager Phil Parkinson has a job on his hands to keep the Trotters in the Championship, and will be hoping he can spend at least some of this extra money for Holding in the January window.

Trotters fans, what do you make of this news? Good for your club? Let us know in the comments!
