Norwich City are set to make a move for Bolton youngster, Dennis Politic according to The Sun journalist, Alan Nixon.

Politic spent part of last year's campaign on loan with Salford City, making nine appearances for the the Ammies.

Salford went on to win promotion from the Vanarama National League, although Politic spent the second-half of the season with Bolton's under 23's team.

He could be tempted by a move to Carrow Road as well, as Norwich are preparing for life back in the Premier League, after they won promotion from the Championship last term.

It seems highly unlikely that Politic will be featuring for the Norwich first-team if he was to sign for the Canaries, but he could be a player to keep an eye on for the future.

It's no secret that Bolton are struggling financially, with the first-team squad having friendlies cancelled at short notice, as the players still haven't been paid wages from previous months.

Bolton get their season underway in League One against Wycombe Wanderers, and it'll be interesting to see who is included in the first-team squad for the game, with Phil Parkinson's side struggling for numbers heading towards the end of the transfer window.

The Verdict:

It's a hugely frustrating scenario for Bolton supporters.

They've hardly got any players contracted with the club heading into the new season, so there could have been an opportunity for Politic to be given a chance in the first-team in the near future.

He's clearly got something about him if Norwich are interested in signing him, and the fact that it could be for free, makes it an even more irritating transfer update for the Trotters.
