Struggling Bolton Wanderers could be set for more misery with the news that Norwich City are interested in signing young midfielder Dennis Politic.

According to Alan Nixon, the Canaries are keen on signing the 19-year-old, who could be free to leave the Lancashire club given their off-field struggles and failure to pay players of late.

Politic would have no doubt played a key role for Bolton in the coming season given their lack of playing staff at the moment, but he could be set to move away, with Norwich manager Daniel Farke keen on bringing in quality young players to his squad.

Romanian youngster Politic is seen as one of the more highly-rated stars at Bolton, and his loss would no doubt be a bitter blow to the Trotters given the amount of problems they are already suffering at the moment.

Bolton only have a handful of registered players on the books ahead of the big kick-off this coming weekend, and losing young players like Politic is another kick in the teeth for a club who have massively struggled in recent years under the ownership of Ken Anderson.

The Verdict

It really seems to be never ending does it for Bolton, and once again it looks like it's the squad who are going to suffer.

Politic is a fine young player and was probably all set to be given his chance in the coming season.

However, how can he really turn down a Premier League move regardless of the situation? Norwich love to develop young players themselves, so Politic might well fancy himself in terms of getting some minutes under Farke in the coming seasons.
