Bolton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing Alex Baptiste according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Bolton. Evatt will look at old Blackpool mate Alex Baptiste. Been around. Been at Bolton before. Solid defender.

Baptiste is currently with Doncaster Rovers, but it remains to be seen as to how much longer he’ll be with the League One club after a number of injury worries.
He made two appearances for the club early into this season, but picked up an Achilles injury that ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
Bolton are preparing for life in the fourth tier of English football after their relegation from League One was confirmed after the majority of clubs in the third tier agreed to curtail this year’s campaign on a PPG (points per game) basis.
Bolton have had their fair share of off-the-field troubles over the years, and the club’s supporters will be hoping that they can head in the right direction next season.
Ian Evatt is now in charge of the club, after being appointed as their new manager that would succeed Keith Hill, who was relieved of his duties after the 2019/20 season.

I can understand their thinking behind this potential transfer.
Baptiste has a considerable amount of experience under his belt, having played for the likes of Blackpool, Preston and QPR earlier in his career.
His recent injury troubles will be a slight concern for Bolton, but he’ll have both a positive impact on and off-the-pitch, especially given the fact that the Bolton squad is likely to contain a number of younger players that could learn a lot from Baptiste.
They’ll be keen to get a deal over the line at the earliest of opportunities.
