Bolton Wanderers striker Marvin Sordell is a proposed target for Premier League new boys Burnley.
Burnley are looking to table a surprise bid in the coming days for the 23 year old, who has had a tough two years at Bolton.
Sordell has endured a nightmare spell at the Trotters, having complained about homesickness, and a fall out with manager Dougie Freedman.
The former England Under 21 player has been handed an escape route to the Premier League by Sean Dyche, who managed Sordell at Watford.
Sordell spent the whole of last season on loan at Charlton Athletic, scoring seven goals in 31 games for the Addicks, as they survived relegation to League One comfortably.
A move would be the best thing for both parties, as Sordell has failed to settle in at the club, having being signed by Owen Coyle in the January of 2012.
