Bolton are stepping up in the chase to sign Norwegian full-back Jonathan Parr, following his release from Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports.
The 25-year old full-back has been subject to interest from Bolton for the past week and it is now being reported that Bolton are to offer Parr a contract with the club.
Parr spent three seasons with Palace but was unable to make any real impact following an injury plagued stay which ended in the termination of his contract.
It is believed that Parr is to join up with Freedman for the second time in his career and contract talks are being planned for later on this week.
Freedman told reporters, “I would be very interested if we can get it done on a free transfer.
“I have worked with Jonathan before at Crystal Palace, he’s a good age, he has experience of the Championship and the Premier League and, most of all, he’s a talented player.
“We don’t have many options at left-back at the moment so if we can get something done on a free, then of course I’d like it to happen.”
