Sky Bet Championship side Bolton Wanderers have rubbished media claims that they were looking to sign Manchester City striker John Guidetti on loan according to The Bolton News.
The 22-year old Sweden international was subject to a rumoured loan bid from Wanderers but it now seems those speculated links are false.
Bolton manager Dougie Freedman told the press that he is looking more towards the possibility of signing players on permanent terms rather than relying on loanees coming in for bigger clubs.
However, Manchester City have announced that the 22-year old striker will not be leaving the club on permanent terms which will rule out a switch to Wanderers.
It is expected that he will either make a loan move back to the Eridivisie or will stay in the Premier League. Since signing in 2008 he has enjoyed loan spells with Dutch side Feyenoord, Swedish side Brommapojkarna and English sides Burnley and Stoke City.
His most successful loan spell was in the Eridivisie with Feyenoord and it believed that a host of Dutch clubs are looking to sign him up on a loan deal.
Guidetti has been told that he has no future at the club as of yet but if he proves himself at a high level then they would play him. However, he has been unable to find any such form and is thought to be leaving the club fairly soon.
