Bolton Wanderers are busy in the transfer window and they are hoping to secure some deals soon.

Bolton are currently in discussions with two of their out-of-contract players and three free-agents from other clubs as they hope to sign at least one of them in the coming days, reports Bolton News.

Bolton boss Phil Parkinson is currently negotiating terms over new contracts for Filipe Morais and Jay Spearing.

Attacker Morais joined Bolton in February as a free agent and contributed with two goals and a staggering tally of thirteen assists, despite only playing half a season.

Jay Spearing has been at Bolton since 2013, when he made the permanent switch from Liverpool.

Parkinson is very keen to get the defensive midfielder and Filipe Morais to commit their future to the Trotters.

In addition to these, Bolton are talking to three free-agents.

Two of them used to work with Phil Parkinson at Bradford City (like Morais).

Right back Stephen Darby and versatile defender or midfielder Tony McMahon are both on Parkinson's wishlist as he tries to thrash out a deal for the duo.

Bolton are also talking to Sammy Ameobi, who enjoyed a profitable loan spell at the Macron Stadium in the first half of last season.

The 24-year-old recently left Newcastle United and would be available on a free if Bolton can agree personal terms with him.
