Bolton Wanderers have enquired over the availability of Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray, according to Burnden Aces.
Wanderers have added a number of defenders to their ranks during this summer and are now seeking a striker with Freedman’s opportunities up front slightly limited with only two weeks to go before the season starts.
However, according to the Daily Mirror, Palace are holding out for a fee of £1,000,000 which could be out of the Championship clubs reach. A poll done today by the Croydon Advertiser also indicates that Eagles fans wish Murray and young Dwight Gayle to be their first choice strike-force this season, ensuring Palace may be unlikely to sell.
Murray was an integral part of Palace’s Championship promotion winning side but has found his opportunities in the top flight limited, mainly due to a serious knee injury he sustained in the play-off semi final against Brighton.
A move would see him link back up with former boss Dougie Freedman, who brought Murray to Selhurst Park from Brighton where he scored over fifty goals in over a hundred appearances.
