Fulham's Bobby Reid scored his first goal for the club last night and today took to Instagram to celebrate the end of his drought.

A one-time golden boot winner in this division, Bobby Reid's career has not taken off as once expected. The former Bristol City man crossed the Severn Bridge to join Cardiff City after their promotion to the Premier League, but only managed five goals in 27 appearances for the club.

He played the opening game of this season for Cardiff before joining Fulham on a season-long loan and up until last night, the man who once scored 21 goals in a season for the Robins hadn't scored once for Fulham.

Fulham cruised to a 3-0 victory over Derby County in the Championship last night - their third-straight league win which takes them to 3rd in the table.

It was Reid who opened the scoring within ten minutes, heading home Aboubakar Kamara's cross to kick-start a memorable night under the Craven Cottage lights. Further goals came from Aleksandar Mitrovic on his return, whilst Tom Cairney added a third late on.

The verdict

Everyone knows how talented Reid is at Championship level and this season there was this lingering sense that once he got off the mark, he'd got on to have a prolific season.

We could well see Reid go on about score 15 Championship goals this season - he's that good on his day. Parker will be delighted with the win and for Reid to get his goal, as things start to look up for Fulham.
