Leeds United could be dealt a blow in their pursuit of West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass.

Speaking to Somerset Live, Snodgrass has spoken of his desire to produce his best form for his current club and prove he can do it in the Premier League again.

The Scottish midfielder moved to the Hammers after impressing for Hull City in the opening few months of last season, but thus far has failed to replicate the form he showed for the Tigers, leading to some news outlets claiming West Ham want to move him on this summer.

However, Snodgrass delivered a determined message, saying: "It’s been difficult – it is something that has been on my mind, and something that gives me that motivation to push on and show people that I can do it at West Ham.

“Once I get that first goal I really believe I can kick on and show what I can do.”

Snodgrass's determination to succeed at the Hammers will no doubt be a bitter blow to Leeds, who were hoping to re-sign their former midfielder this summer under new manager Thomas Christiansen.

Leeds have already added six new faces during the window, but look set to miss out on Snodgrass as he aims to prove his worth in the top flight.
