Loads of AFC Wimbledon fans have reacted after club manager Wally Downes was suspended from first-team duties with immediate effect.

The decision came after the Wombles' boss was alleged to have breached the FA's betting regulations between 2013 and 2019, with the club taking action due to the potential seriousness of the manager's move.

Downes took over as manager of the club midway through last season after Neal Ardley was sacked, with relegation looking like a certainty.

But a brilliant run of results under Downes saw him guide them to survival and handed the job on a permanent basis, with confidence high ahead of the current season.

With just three points from ten matches so far, however, that form has very much deserted them and they now look set for another relegation scrap.
