Reports from Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay claim that Leeds United loanee Lewis Baker has returned to parent club Chelsea.
The 23-year old returns to Stamford Bridge on the back of a disappointing loan spell at Elland Road – with a move to Sky Bet Championship strugglers Reading reportedly in the pipeline.
The midfielder arrived at the Yorkshire club with high expectations, after impressive loan spells at Vitesse Arnhem and Middlesbrough over the last few years.
But since his move to Elland Road, he has started just five times in all competitions for Marcelo Bielsa’s men, with only two of those coming in the league campaign.
With Leeds’ squad depth getting thinner and thinner, Bielsa will surely have to act quickly to bring in new signings, that will help strengthen the Whites, and cement their position at the top of the league table.
Here, we take a look at Leeds fans’ reactions as Baker returns to Chelsea…
Love that the squad is getting even smaller ????????????♂️

Blessing in disguise this. He wasn't cutting it and it will force the club to replace him with someone who will cut it

Maybe he'll put no effort in there either.

Knowing our luck, he’ll turn into messi when he plays against us ????

Won't be remembered, that's for sure, wasted a place that someone better could have filled. pic.twitter.com/kyr4Z17ozI

I know he never performed for us but there’s a good player in there. Got a feeling he’ll perform elsehwhere.
