Now that the Championship season has finally concluded, it is a time for reflection for clubs in the division.

Blackpool Football Club are certainly no exception to that, with boss Neil Critchley admitting that the club can be quite pleased with their return to life in the second-tier this campaign.

Following their play-off victory in League One last campaign, the Seasiders finished in a respectable 16th place in the final Championship standings, and this could easily have been higher had Critchley's side finished the season slightly stronger.

With that said, Blackpool's attention must now turn towards the summer transfer window and making improvements to their squad if they are going to continue to establish themselves at this level.

With plenty of transfer speculation swirling in regards to players incoming and outgoing, it certainly looks like a busy summer ahead for those at the club.

With that being said, here, we've picked out eight transfer scenarios that could play out at Bloomfield Road this summer now that the season has officially came to an end.

One transfer scenario that could play out is the arrival of Gillingham central defender Jack Tucker at Bloomfield Road.

It was recently reported by Alan Nixon that the 22-year-old was a Blackpool target this summer and given he is out of contract, there is little risk in the club going in for him.

Tucker made 50 appearances for Gillingham in all competitions this season and so would certainly be a durable option for Blackpool should he come through the door this summer.

Another incoming we could see at Bloomfield Road this summer is current Hull City goalkeeper Matt Ingram.

Like some others on this list, Ingram has been linked with a move to Bloomfield Road this summer and there are seemingly few obstacles in the way of any potential deal.

The club have already reportedly rejected an offer for Daniel Grimshaw this summer already, and if they do let Grimshaw leave eventually, Ingram in on a free could be a deal we see happen when the transfer window arrives.

This is one Blackpool fans certainly will hope does not happen, but with transfer rumours swirling, Josh Bowler's exit this summer is looking increasingly likely.

The Seasiders recently triggered Bowler's contract extension, so the club must cash in this summer or risk losing him for nothing next year.

With Premier League interest, the player would likely want to make that move and in such scenario, allowing the player to move on may be the best move for all parties concerned.

Another player that is set to leave his current club on a free transfer that Blackpool could make a move for is AFC Wimbledon midfielder Anthony Hartigan.

There are a number of clubs interested in securing the 22-year-old's services ahead of next campaign, and Blackpool are reportedly one of them.

Hartigan made 42 appearances in all competitions for Wimbledon this campaign, scoring two goals and assisting on seven occasions.

They may face competition to secure his signature, but if they can get this one over the line, Hartigan could be a good low-risk addition to the Seasiders squad on a free transfer this summer.

Another transfer scenario that we could see play out at Blackpool this summer is the arrival of Morgan Rogers on loan.

Blackpool were reportedly in for Rogers in January amid his loan spell at AFC Bournemouth, with the winger's loan spell on the south coast not quite working out as planned.

As such, and with Bowler potentially outgoing, a move to Bloomfield Road for regular football next campaign could be a good option for the 19-year-old.

Another transfer scenario that looks like it could happen this summer is that Charlie Kirk returns to the club on a permanent basis.

Kirk spent the season on loan from Charlton Athletic this campaign and it has been reported that Blackpool are keen to make that temporary switch a permanent one this summer if the right deal can be struck.

Kirk made nine Championship appearances for the club after making a January loan move, registering three assists in those matches.

Chris Maxwell's Blackpool exit is another transfer scenario that could arise at Bloomfield Road this summer.

Maxwell has been linked with a move to Premier League side Everton to become their third choice goalkeeper on a free transfer, however, reports have cast doubt over the move in recent weeks.

That's due to the uncertain situation at the club regarding the return of one of their young goalkeepers, however, if a solution is found for his future, there is nothing to suggest the Toffees would not once again attempt to sign Maxwell.

Last but not least, the final of the eight transfer scenarios we've picked out that could happen at Blackpool this summer would leave young defender Oliver Casey leaving the club on loan.

The 21-year-old joined the club after leaving Leeds at the end of last season but managed just eight appearances for the Seasiders in 2021/22.

It's unlikely he will go from that to first team regular, in which case, it may be beneficial for a loan further down the EFL in order to continue his development.

Given that he turns 22 in December, a full season playing men's football for the first time would certainly do the young centre-half no harm.
