Hall, 23, will stay at Bloomfield Road until May, while 28-year-old O'Hara has signed until the end of the season.

"He's a terrific young pro, a centre-half with pace who is comfortable on the ball," said Clark to BBC Sport about of the Tottenham loanee.

"He's thought of highly at Spurs and when I heard that he wasn't staying with Birmingham on loan I made a move to bring him in."

Hall started his career at Brighton and Hove Albion, where he made just one first team appearance before being signed by the North London club for a reported £1.5m.

Loan spells at Swindon Town and Birmingham City followed, but the Brighton-born defender found his chances limited under new boss Gary Rowett and returned to his parent club.

On O'Hara's contract extension, Clark added: "I think the fact that we've got him back enjoying his football again has been a big factor.

"There have been clubs which have seen what he is about again, the ability he's got and he's had other offers."

The former England U21 international started his career in Arsenal's youth ranks, before switching allegiances and joining bitter rivals Tottenham.

Loan spells at Chesterfield and Millwall followed, before he made his full debut against former club Arsenal in 2007.

O'Hara's first team opportunities soon became limited under manager Harry Redknapp, and the Dartford-born playmaker joined Portsmouth on loan, where he would help them reach the FA Cup final.

January 2011 brought a loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, which would be made permanent the following summer, however O'Hara managed just 41 appearances in three seasons and his contract was mutually terminated in August 2014.

Blackpool currently sit 24th in the Sky Bet Championship, and welcome fellow relegation candidates Millwall to Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
