Blackpool head coach Neil Critchley has revealed that James Husband and Keshi Anderson are both set to be out of action for a number of weeks due to their respective hamstring injuries.
Husband and Anderson were both substituted during the club’s FA Cup defeat to Hartlepool United last weekend after picking up issues at Victoria Park.
After helping Blackpool achieve promotion to the Championship last year, Husband has produced some assured performances during the current campaign.
The defender has started 18 games at this level and will be determined to help the club push on in the second-tier when he is fit enough to feature again.
Meanwhile, Anderson has provided an attacking outlet for Blackpool this season as he has scored six goals and has produced five assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.
Currently 12th in the Championship, the Seasiders could move above the likes of Millwall and Coventry City in the standings if they seal all three points in their showdown with Barnsley this weekend.
Ahead of his side’s trip to Oakwell, Critchley has shared an update on Husband and Anderson.
Speaking to The Blackpool Gazette about this duo, the Seasiders boss said: “They will both be out for a number of weeks.
“We’d probably expect Keshi to be out a little longer than Hubby.
“It’s a blow because they’ve been good players for us, but we had injuries last year and we’ve had injuries this year.

“Keshi missed a lot of last season unfortunately.
“We’ll just get on with it and do the best we can as we always do, because it creates opportunities for other people in the squad.”
This is unquestionably a setback for Blackpool as they would have been hoping to call upon the services of Husband and Anderson this weekend.
However, with this particular duo set to be out of action for several weeks, Critchley will be hoping that some of the other members of the club’s squad will be able to step up to the mark.
Luke Garbutt may be handed the opportunity to prove his worth in Husband’s absence after being introduced as a substitute in the club’s recent clash with Hartlepool.
Currently averaging a respectable WhoScored match rating of 6.61 in the Championship, the defender will be confident in his ability to deliver the goods against Barnsley on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Jerry Yates could be drafted in as a replacement for Anderson whilst CJ Hamilton will also be pushing for a start.
