Blackpool have confirmed the signing of midfielder Connor Ronan on-loan from Premier League side Wolves for the remainder of the season.
The Tangerines have added yet another fresh face to their squad this month, coming in to join up with fellow new signings Grant Ward, Jordan Thorniley, Marc Bola, and Gary Madine, along with the extension of Ben Heneghan’s loan from Sheffield United.
They have made their fifth new signing of the window by bringing in young Wolves midfielder Connor Ronan on-loan for the rest of the season. The 21-year-old spent the last calendar year with Slovakian side Dunajska Streda before returning to Molineux this month for another move.
The Republic of Ireland under-21 international has previously spent time on loan in League One with both Portsmouth and Walsall, so won’t take much time getting up to speed with the intensity of the league at Bloomfield Road.
Speaking to the club’s official website, manager Simon Grayson was delighted to have confirmed Ronan’s move to Blackpool this month, where he stated: “Connor’s an exciting player and the type of player that we’ve been missing this season.
“A lot of people speak highly about him and he’s had some good experience out in Slovakia, as well as internationally for Ireland at under-21 level.
“We’re looking for him to get on the ball, pick a pass and add something different to the squad.”
Having moved for the season, Ronan will link up with his teammates to push them towards a play-off place as they sit just five points behind the top six at present. Ronan also commented to the club website about what he hopes to bring to the side in the coming months: “I like to get on the ball and try and make things happen. I’ll take risks in the opposite half, try and get a few assists and chip in with a few goals.
“All in all, I just want to help the team wherever I can and try and help the team get back to where it belongs.”

Simon Grayson’s business is getting stronger by the day, with recruitments to key areas helping build his side towards where they should be, come May.
As the fifth signing this season, along with Heneghan’s deal being extended, Grayson has moved very quickly to ensure that his Tangerine’s side are much stronger and well-equipped to battle for promotion.
It’s unclear whether Ronan will be available for tomorrow’s trip to Lincoln City having arrived after midday, but this is certainly a smart deal for Grayson’s side.
