Blackpool close in on transfer agreement

Blackpool are in advanced talks to sign Bradford City winger Sean Scannell, according to Football Insider.
The 28-year-old joined Bradford from Huddersfield Town last summer, but struggled to make an impact at Valley Parade due to injury problems.
After making 18 appearances for the Bantams last season, the former Crystal Palace man has played in all five of Bradford’s games in League Two so far this term, scoring in the 3-0 win over Oldham Athletic earlier this month.
Blackpool are currently second in the League One table on goal difference and are one of five teams to have taken eleven points from their opening five matches.
Manager Simon Grayson is keen to strengthen his attacking options before the transfer window for lower league clubs closes next week and has identified Scannell as one of his top targets.
According to Football Insider, the transfer could be finalised within the next 24 hours.
The Verdict
This could be a good signing for Blackpool. Scannell is a decent player and he’s got plenty of experience. He struggled to make an impact for Bradford due to injuries, but he’s more than capable of getting his career back on track.
He was playing in the Championship just a couple of seasons ago, so he’s definitely capable of making an impact in League One and he would probably jump at the chance to play at a higher level again after spending last season in League Two.
Grayson will know the player from their time together at Huddersfield and the experienced manager will know how to get the best out of him.
