Blackpool boss Jose Riga is working hard to add to his squad ahead of the Championship kick-off at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Blackpool have already added Spanish defender Joan Oriol and Lundstram could potentially be Pool’s 16th player if he signs a six-month loan deal.

The midfielder who has captained Noel Blake’s England under-19 squad impressed on loan for the Yeovil Town, scoring against Blackpool when the two sides met last December, before a further loan deal saw him moving to Leyton Orient, where he played in the League One play-off final, a game which they lost to Rotherham.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is keen for Liverpool-born Lundstram to move out to a Championship side to gain valuable experience.

Blackpool are hoping to conclude the protracted transfer of Ishmael Miller this afternoon, the striker is having a medical this afternoon.

The deal looked to have collapsed, but both parties are keen to revive the deal and the former Nottingham Forest striker was again black at Bloomfield Road yesterday.

Lundstram has represented England at under-17, under-18, under-19 and under-20 level, he made his under-20 debut in the 2013 FIFA u-20 World Cup, in a 3–0 win in a warm-up game against Uruguay
