The season resumes this weekend in the Sky Bet Championship with lots still to play for up and down the league.

It's yet to be decided who is going to be exiting the division at both ends of the table and most sides still have something to aim for between now and May.

One side that is perhaps set for a mid-table finish now, though, is Blackburn Rovers with them having a solid season back in the second tier under Tony Mowbray.

They'll surely be looking to add in the summer window, then, to try and build on this campaign and one player that could well be on his way is Patrik Bauer at Charlton.

Rovers have been interested in the League One based defender for some time and, according to the Lancashire Telegraph, he remains steadfast in not wanting to sign a new contract with the Addicks.

Indeed, he will become a free agent in the summer and with Rovers monitoring him, they could have the pound seats to snap up a real coup.

The Verdict

Bauer is a real powerhouse at centre-half and looks ready to play Championship football for sure.

If Charlton do not go up via the play-offs, that will surely seal his exit and Blackburn could well be the side to really profit from it all.
