Blackburn and QPR will contest one of the opening games of the Championship season this weekend and both of the clubs will be wanting to start with a win.

For Rovers, the club have a new man in charge and after a push for the play-offs during the last campaign, they'll want to keep up the momentum and try and seal a top six spot this time around.

For QPR, the club also have a new manager in at Loftus Road, so it's all change between the two sides ahead of this clash. Like Blackburn, the Hoops wanted to push for the top six but were unable to keep it up over the course of the season and settled for midtable.

Now, both clubs will want to get off to a good start here - and here is all you need to know ahead of the game.

Latest team news

For Blackburn, the club have seemingly got plenty of players to choose from for this fixture. Perhaps the only name that won't be given a first-team berth and might not get too many minutes is Bradley Dack.

That's because manager Jon Dahl Tomasson has claimed the player might not be ready for too much action yet and would rather get the player up to full fitness before throwing him back into the mix in the league.

As for QPR, they also have plenty of players available, with Chris Willock and Luke Amos both potentially available for the clash. However, the club's supporters will be disappointed to hear that they may have to wait to see Tyler Roberts in Championship as the Hoops player still has an injury.

Score prediction

With both clubs eager to get a win here, it could be a tight game between two sides who want to be near the top of the table. Blackburn have the goals of Ben Brereton-Diaz for now and QPR have a very good coach and have made some solid signings this summer. Considering the two teams as they are then, it could play out as a score draw. 1-1.
