Blackburn are expected to have a busy few weeks as they prepare for the Championship opener against Swansea City next month.

Tony Mowbray's side endured a disappointing previous campaign and there will be a hope from the fans that they can improve moving forward.

However, it's clear that they need to make new additions if they are to do that and it will be interesting to see who arrived at Ewood Park before the window shuts.

As you would expect, there has been plenty of talk on deals involving Rovers and here we provide a round-up of the latest rumours...

Michael Obafemi could be involved in Adam Armstrong deal

There's one major sale that many Blackburn fans are fearing, with top scorer from last season Adam Armstrong understandably attracting interest, with Southampton strong admirers.

And, it has been suggested that Michael Obafemi could be part of any deal. The Ireland international has struggled to break through with the Saints and he is thought to be available for a move.

Dan Pike to be given chance to impress

One player who has been linked with a move away is youngster Dan Pike.

The full-back has been hugely impressive for the development side in the past 12 months and it had been claimed that he could secure a loan move to get regular minutes next season.

However, the latest news is that Pike is highly-rated by Mowbray and will be given a chance to earn a place in the first-team during pre-season.

Doncaster mulling over double Blackburn deal

There could be some movement in terms of players leaving on loan though, with keeper Aynsley Pears and forward Connor McBride thought to be on Doncaster's radar.

Richie Wellens, who manages the League One side, has admitted he is keen on a keeper, so that's one that could certain happen.

But, it's not as clear-cut with McBride, as the youngster, who scored against Fylde in the recent friendly win, has spoken about his hope of getting a chance in the first-team.
