Blackburn want to try and bring in Tyler Morton this transfer window and they might be about to seal a transfer for the player, with Alan Nixon reporting via his Patreon that Liverpool are set to allow a deal.

Blackburn had a superb Championship season last time around and for a large part of the season, it looked like the club could be contenders for a promotion. However, Rovers fell away and ended up having to settle for a top half spot instead.

Now, with a new boss at the helm in Jon Dahl Tomasson, they will be looking to try and get into those top six spots again and one player that the manager wants to add to his ranks is Morton at Liverpool.

The midfielder played twice for the Reds during the last campaign in the Premier League, even though he is still just 19-years-old. That shows the regard in which Jurgen Klopp holds him and also shows the level of talent and potential he has.

Now, Blackburn and Tomasson want to bring him to Ewood Park to allow him to continue his development and to get him some more regular first-team football. Liverpool were unsure of whether to let the player seal a loan transfer away this summer but it appears that the club are now willing to let Morton move to Blackburn on a short-term basis.

Whilst a transfer deal might not happen before the weekend, it looks like he will be heading to Rovers before the end of the window.

The Verdict

Blackburn signing Morton is not a bad piece of business when you consider his talent and potential but when you think about his experience in the league, he has none at all.

In fact, the player has yet to really play any competitive football over the course of his career. He has shone for the Liverpool reserve team and played in the Premier League but not regularly enough to showcase what he can and prove that he is up to scratch in the EFL.

However, all the loan players and young talents have to start somewhere and Tomasson is clearly prepared to give the youngster a chance at Ewood Park. Given the chance to play in the first-team often as well, the player could thrive and become a key part of the team.

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool will certainly be hoping that a loan deal is the best call for the player this transfer window.
