Blackburn Rovers midfielder Elliott Bennett has praised the relationship he holds with manager Tony Mowbray, highlighting the Rovers manager as one of the key reasons he is flourishing at Ewood Park.

Speaking to the official website for Rovers, Bennett went into depth to praise his manager, citing how Mowbray has changed everything at the club for the better during his tenure.

“He’s been fantastic ever since he walked through the door and I want to be a part of our journey, to play a part in more success for the football club. It brought the club together, the manager let a few players go, brought in some new faces and last season turned out to be a fantastic one for the club. We’ve kicked on since then." Bennet said.
“I get the manager and he gets what I’m about as a footballer. There will be some games where I don’t play and that’s fine. The manager picks the players based on the opponent and what he wants out of each game".
The former Norwich City star has been a key figure for Rovers as they have adapted to life back in the Championship with ease, even sitting among the playoff places early on in the season.
And the praise from Bennett towards Mowbray only further highlights just what a good situation the club have got going at the moment, and it will be interesting to see if the Lancashire outfit can continue to consolodate or even push on for the playoffs as the season progresses.
