Blackburn Rovers have shared an update on Lewis Travis this Wednesday afternoon as the midfielder ups his recovery from injury.

Tony Mowbray's side, like many this season, have been unlucky with injuries and the squad has been stretched seriously at times this year.

However, they have managed to get through it so far and are looking like play-off contenders at least, with them packing plenty of firepower.

In a boost to the club for 2021, too, it looks as though Lewis Travis is upping his recovery now having undergone knee surgery a few months ago.

Blackburn shared this update on social media:

Last week, Tony Mowbray suggested that it would be around four weeks before we see Travis back in contention for the first-team and so, clearly, he doesn't have long left to go before he can challenge for a start.

The Verdict

This is bound to be a welcome sight for Blackburn fans who have seen their side hit by several injuries this season.

We know the sort of player Travis is and the quality he brings to the team so to be able to call upon him once again in the near future is a boost for Rovers.

He now needs to get himself sharp and avoid setbacks and 2021 could kick off with a bang for him.
