Blackburn Rovers set for major boost ahead of relegation battle

Published

on

Blackburn Rovers’ hopes of survival have been handed a massive boost with news that Danny Graham’s return is imminent, according to the club’s official website.

Tony Mowbray claims on the Blackburn Rovers official website that Danny Graham could be selected in the match day squad for tomorrow’s clash against Barnsley.

Rovers have been without their talisman up front since the international break when he underwent minor surgery on a groin injury.

The former Swansea and Sunderland forward has now returned to full training and he could be included in tomorrow’s squad if he passes a late fitness test and there are no injury setbacks.

This news will come as a boost for Blackburn, who are embroiled in a relegation battle.

They currently occupy the final spot in the bottom three but are just one point off safety with six games left to play.

The return of top scorer Graham, who has notched 11 league goals this term, could be the boost they need for survival.

Blackburn fans – what do you make of this news? Are you pleased that Graham’s return is imminent? Can he fire you to safety? Let us know in the comments below…
