Blackburn Rovers set to give defender’s exit green-light

Published

Blackburn Rovers look set to allow Tyler Magloire out on loan, according to Alan Nixon.

The summer transfer window closed last month, but Magloire looks set to land himself a loan move in the National League, with Hartlepool his destination.

Nixon has shared the news on Twitter this lunchtime.

The 21-year-old has made only two senior appearances for Rovers in his time at Ewood Park, but he’s been a regular in the under-23s.

The centre-back has also been on loan with Rochdale in the EFL, making two league appearances, as well as appearing in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

However, he’s failed to fashion a move for himself elsewhere in the EFL in the summer of 2020, which has opened the door for a National League move.

Hartlepool looks set to be his destination, with Dave Challinor’s side sixth in the table having won three of their opening six fixtures.

The Verdict

Magloire isn’t going to get games with Blackburn, so it makes sense finding him a move that gives him a decent platform.

It hasn’t quite happened for him in the EFL just yet, but time is on his side at 21 and this could be the making of him.

If he can start games consistently for Hartlepool and make a good impression, who knows what the future could hold.
