Sky Bet Championship side Blackburn Rovers have announced a new multi-million pound, multi-year shirt sponsorship deal with online gaming company Dafabet, the Lancashire Telegraph understands.
Gary Bowyer’s men will be sponsored by ‘Dafabet’ – a large worldwide betting organisation that operates in the online gaming market.
Dafabet will become the club’s official international betting and gaming partner, and the sponsor will subsequently be placed on the front of Rovers’ home and away shirts in the 2015/16 Championship season.
The Lancashire Telegraph understands that the agreement is worth seven figures plus bonuses for Rovers and will last a minimum of three years. It is believed that the deal allows for the option of an annual pre-season overseas game for the club’s first team.
Dafabet is an Asian company and they also are the current sponsors of Tim Sherwood’s Aston Villa.
Gary Bowyer’s Blackburn Rovers will be hoping for a significantly better season next campaign, after what has turned out to be a relatively mediocre season for the club.
Rovers finished this season’s Sky Bet Championship campaign in ninth place in the division, having accrued 67 points from 46 league games.
