Sunderland striker Danny Graham’s proposed move to Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers is progressing, according to sports journalist Alan Nixon.
Rovers boss, Paul Lambert is seemingly on a hunt for a new striker, amid fears of losing Jordan Rhodes in the January Transfer Window.
Graham has struggled for goals for Sunderland in the Premier League and has only found the net once in his Black Cats career.
The striker has had three separate loans with Hull, Middlesbrough and Wolves in the past few years, with none of them proving very fruitful for the forward.
Graham certainly is proven at Championship level from finishing top scorer in the league with Watford back in their 2010/2011 campaign.
Blackburn are free to sign players after their Transfer Embargo was lifted at the start of December by the Football League.
Rovers are on a poor run of form after losing three consecutive games and need an attacking threat to boost their morale.
Blackburn currently occupy 17th place in the Championship and are seven points adrift of the bottom three.
Graham could be involved with Blackburn’s FA Cup third round tie with Newport at Rodney Parade on Saturday.
