Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray insists that his side was value for a point at very least yesterday, the club's official website reports.

Derrick Williams scored a late equaliser to earn Blackburn Rovers a 1-1 draw with Cardiff City at Ewood Park last night and Mowbray believes that was the least his side deserved.

Talking to Radio Rovers after the game, Mowbray said:

"I think it was the very least that we deserved.

"I think the chances that came and went were so frustrating to be honest.

"What was most interesting for me was that it was the first time since I've arrived that we've actually had to go chasing the game as we'd been in front in the other three matches.

"I was really pleased with the way we applied ourselves to go chasing the football match.

"The goalscorer epitomises how you go chasing games when you are gambling.

"I said to them that we might as well lose 2-0 as to not have a go.

"I thought the principles that I bring to a football team worked really well.

"I don't think they were a threat on the break, I can't remember too many chances for them.

"We just built up the pressure and it was coming.

"They dug in beyond the call and got the result."
