Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City are all interested in signing Rangers' Jordan Jones according to the Daily Record.

It comes after Gers boss Steven Gerrard informed Jones that he was not part of his long-term plans, despite only signing for the club in the summer of 2019.

He only made 14 appearances for the club during the 2019/20 season, so it might not come as much of a surprise to hear that he doesn't feature as part of the long-term vision for the club.

A move to the Championship could be tempting for Jones though, with a number of club reportedly interested in landing his signature ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Neil Warnock is seemingly a keen admirer of Jones' ability, with the Boro boss looking to build on some strong performances at the back end of this year's league campaign.

Whilst Stoke City were in real danger of being relegated into League One earlier in the season, but found much-needed form towards the final few matches in the Championship.

But Blackburn are in the best position out of the clubs interested in a deal to sign Jones, with Tony Mowbray's side finishing the 2019/20 season in 11th position in the second-tier standings.

Therefore, Jones has a decision to make on his future, providing formal offers are submitted for his services during the summer transfer window.

The Verdict:

He'll be eager to showcase his talent at the earliest of opportunities.

Jones hasn't featured as much as he would have liked to with Rangers this season, and I'm not surprised to hear that he doesn't feature in Steven Gerrard's plans for the future.

It'll be interesting to see which interested clubs submit a formal offer for the former Kilmarnock player, as I think he's more than capable of playing to a high standard in the Championship.

He would add much-needed depth to all of the teams interested in landing his signature.
