Sky Bet Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers are interested in signing Norwich City midfielder Louis Thompson, according to Shoot.
Rovers are now under new management as Paul Lambert has taken charge after the sacking of Gary Bowyer, due to their disappointing start to the season.
And he doesn’t seem to be wasting time in bringing new players as he looks to bring in the 20- year-old midfielder in January.
Thompson has not made a first-team appearance for the Norwich first team since his switch from Swindon in September.
The midfielder has joined Swindon Town until December this year and has been fairly impressive in his eight appearances, and when he returns to his parent club, a move away is likely in order for him to get first-team football.
It will give Blackburn extra squad depth and give them players to start building a promotion winning squad in the future.
The main focus for Lambert will be to keep his key players like Jordan Rhodes, who is likely to attract Premier League and Championship interest in the January transfer window.
Blackburn fans will surely be happy to see Lambert signing players like Thompson instead of selling them, in what looks like a transitional phase at Ewood Park at the moment.
What do you think Blackburn fans, happy with this? Leave thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
