Blackburn manager Owen Coyle keen to secure deal for Premier League forward

Blackburn manager Owen Coyle has revealed on Rovers’ official website that he is eager to keep Marvin Emnes at the club beyond the expiry of his loan deal.

Marvin Emnes is due to return to Premier League club Swansea City after today’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Ipswich Town.

The 28-year-old has impressed in his 19 appearances for Rovers this season and Coyle is keen to extend his stay beyond today.

Coyle does not know whether that will be another loan or a permanent deal but he has already held talks with Swansea about his availability.

The Dutchman can play as a striker or a winger and Coyle will be want him to help Blackburn in their bid for survival.

Emnes moved to England in 2008 when he switched Sparta Rotterdam for Middlesbrough.

He played over 150 games for Boro and had two loan spells at Swansea before signing a permanent deal with the Swans in 2014.
