Blackburn Rovers have enjoyed an impressive return to Championship football this season and currently sit on nine points after six games, but lost their last match against Bristol City.

Rovers were emphatically beaten 4-1 by the Robins and striker Danny Graham is determined for the club to get back on track against Steve Bruce's Aston Villa side on Saturday evening.

“Saturday will see two teams looking for a response and we’ll be doing all we can to make sure we do the business this weekend," he told the club's official website.

“Looking back, the Bristol City game wasn’t really a 4-1 game, but that’s the nature of the Championship, it comes back to bite you.

"It came at the wrong time with the international break meaning we wouldn’t be playing for two weeks, but we’re all looking forward to putting things right on Saturday."

Graham moved to Ewood Park from Sunderland in July 2016 and has gone on to play over 100 times for the club, scoring 39 goals.

He was a key part of the club's emphatic promotion campaign from League One last season, scoring 14 goals.

During the 2016/17 relegation campaign, Graham scored 12 Championship goals, and he will no doubt want to beat that this season.

The Verdict

Blackburn Rovers certainly look like a side to watch this season, who could come from nowhere and shake things up.

They have recruited shrewdly and kept all the key components of their squad together, so it is no surprise they have had quite a fast start to life in the Championship.

Last weekend was disappointing for Rovers, but Graham seems determined to put things right this weekend.
