Blackburn Rovers are reportedly weighing up a move for Lincoln City winger Harry Anderson, according to Team Talk

The 21-year-old has been a key member of the Imps success so far this season, scoring twice and assisting two more as well to help shoot the club to the top of the League Two table.

Anderson made the permanent move to Sincil Bank last summer from Peterborough United after spending the previous season on loan with the Imps.

In total he has been directly involved in 28 goals in 99 appearances for Danny Cowley's side, scoring 16 and assisting 12.

If Rovers were to sign the youngster, they would have to fend off competition from Championship rivals Sheffield United and Norwich City who are also interested according to TeamTalk.

Despite making a good start to the season, there is no doubt that Mowbray will be keen to strengthen in the winter window.

Only eight new faces arrived at the club during the summer with none of those players operating as a winger.

The verdict

This would be a very clever move from Mowbray.

At 21, Anderson has a very bright future and Rovers could be the perfect place for him to develop further.

The club's current lack of wingers makes the signing an even more obvious move for the club to make with Adam Armstrong frequently operating out wide this season.
