Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray is not too discouraged despite remaining in the relegation zone ahead of tonight's games, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.

Tony Mowbray lost his unbeaten record on the weekend as his side slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat at promotion candidates Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

However, Mowbray was encouraged that Blackburn gave the second placed side a good game and acknowledged that Rovers could well have won it themselves.

The former Middlesbrough and Coventry boss feels that the wins will come if Blackburn keep giving themselves a chance in every game.

Yet another big challenge awaits Mowbray's Blackburn Rovers team tonight as they travel to high flying Reading to take on the promotion hopefuls at the Madejski Stadium.

Mowbray feels that they can win but they will need to organise themselves well to cope with the threat that Stam's team offers.

Tony Mowbray said:

“I think there are a lot of positives, there is a lot right.

“The football team has to stay mentally tough, know they are doing well and working extremely hard and we will pick up wins between now and the end of the season because of those qualities.

“Our main target is to win some football matches along the way, wherever they come – at Reading away, Barnsley at home, we will try and win every game.

“We should not get down about the defeats – you have to wait for the wins.

"You have to work extremely hard to give yourself a chance to win every football match and make sure you don’t find yourselves out of the match by being too cavalier too early on."
