It was a week of bad news for Leeds United last week, with Marcelo Bielsa losing a number of key players.

Leeds lost Patrick Bamford, amongst others, after taking the opportunity to hand the striker a start for the under-23s during the international break.

Bamford was injured in the clash with Bristol City, ruling the 25-year-old out for four months.

Despite that setback, Bielsa hasn’t been afraid to throw his first-team players into the 23s again, with the likes of Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman named in the starting XI against Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon.

Tom Pearce and Jack Clarke join Baker and Blackman in the starting line-up, with that quartet all amongst the substitutes on Saturday at Millwall.

Adam Forshaw also has a place on the bench this afternoon, despite Leeds having a clash with Preston North End in the Championship tomorrow.
