Birmingham City are looking to get to safety as soon as possible in the Championship with the battle really hotting up.

A couple of below par performances of late have meant that the Blues have not pulled away as they were threatening too and so they are in the mix with Reading, Bolton and Barnsley to stay up.

Garry Monk and his men will be only focused on the next game, then, with every point counting between now and the end of the year though you feel as though they should have the quality to stay up.

Indeed, the squad is arguably good enough to be in the top half when on form and that is what they'll be aiming to do next season, as well as after adding new players in the summer window.

With that in mind, then, we've taken to Twitter today to ask fans about both a potential exit and incoming and whether they'd back it.

Let's see what was said...

First of all, we asked Blues fans whether they'd like to make Sam Gallagher's loan stay permanent.

Gallagher has perhaps not hit the heights expected of him but that can largely be said of a number of players in the squad.

Even so, he is still a talented young forward and has potential but it looks as though most Birmingham fans wouldn't be fussed if he left...

Garry Monk might be expected to go after player he has signed before and one man who fits that bill is Britt Assombalonga.

A powerful, proven Championship forward, he has struggled since Monk left Middlesbrough and has fallen down the pecking order under Tony Pulis.

Arguably, Birmingham could do with a new striker in the summer and if the former Forest man arrived it appears most would be pleased with such a deal...
