Birmingham head to QPR this weekend knowing that a win will secure them their Championship status for next season.

It's been another tense campaign following the drama of last year and the Blues remain in danger with just two games to go.

However, their destiny is firmly in their hands and if they can secure the three points at Loftus Road then they can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Ahead of the game, too, it looks as though the Blues have been given a boost with no fresh injury concerns to worry about.

Indeed, the one doubt - Craig Garder - has overcome his knock from the game against Sheffield United and Garry Monk has revealed the good shape the squad is in via the club's official website.

He said:

"Everyone is good and it's exactly the same.

"Gards (Gardner) had a bit of a bruised rib in the game against Sheffield United.

"He missed the early part of this week, but he's now back in training and fit."

Other than that, Harlee Dean remains out thanks to suspension but much of the squad is raring to go for this crucial clash.

The Verdict

Birmingham should have enough to stay up even if they lost this weekend but they'd surely like to get themselves safe as soon as possible.

With QPR having little to play for, too, there's a good chance that the Blues' desire will see them over the line.
