Norwich City are continuing to prepare for life back in the Sky Bet Championship after relegation from the Premier League last season.

It’s a position that the Canaries are familiar with given their previous success under Daniel Farke, yet things are a touch different this coming season with Dean Smith getting his first full campaign.

Smith will have ambitions of repeating Farke’s trick of bouncing Norwich straight back, yet there’s a busy summer to conclude before the season gets underway.

The transfer window is at the forefront of everyone’s mind right now and is the centre of this latest article.

We run you through a couple of recent headlines here:

Christos Tzolis

Tzolis struggled in his 14 Premier League appearances for Norwich last season, with the bulk of his impact coming in the League Cup.

It’s been reported by Sportime that Feyenoord are interested in signing the 20-year-old this summer.

However, that deal would not be a permanent one due to Feyenoord not being able to fund the fee. Instead, it could be a loan, with the club picking up a high percentage of Tzolis’ wage.

Przemyslaw Placheta

There is interest in Placheta from Birmingham City, but recent report from Meczyki have suggested that Blues are not the only side keen on a deal for the Norwich player.

It’s claimed that AEK Athens also hold an interest in the player at this stage of the summer, with Norwich looking to sell.

It’s been a poor couple of seasons for Placheta at Norwich, with the Polish international scoring just a single goal.

The 24-year-old managed 38 appearances across two seasons.

Teemu Pukki

Teemu Pukki’s agent has suggested that the Norwich striker wants to be playing at the highest level possible in an extended interview with MTV UUTISET, as quoted by Eastern Daily Press.

A snippet of that interview read: “It is not the optimal situation that the club is in the Championship. That’s clear.

“Negotiations are going on all the time. It is then a different matter whether it leads to anything. However, Teemu is the kind of player that every player should be, that as long as there is a contract, their own business is done with honour.

“The starting point is that Teemu will go back to Norwich for the training season, but if something happens here before the end of August, I don’t know. Yes, Teemu has a desire to play as high as possible.”

Pukki has scored 77 goals in 157 league appearances for Norwich since signing in 2018, firing them to the Premier League twice, whilst also scoring 22 top-flight goals.

Should he move on, it would be a particular blow for the Canaries.
