Birmingham City could move for former Leicester and Derby manager Nigel Pearson, according to the Sun.
The Blues’ sacking of Gary Rowett drew plenty of criticism, and his replacement Gianfranco Zola has struggled to have any sort of impact, winning only two of his games in charge so far.
This form has led the Blues owners to once again be considering the manager’s position at the club, and Nigel Pearson is the latest name linked with a move to St Andrews.
Pearson was relieved of his managerial duties at Derby County earlier in the season after only a few months in charge of the Rams, and will no doubt be keen to seal a return to management. Birmingham City are a big club, and have plenty of potential, and Pearson could well see this as a worthwhile project.
The Blues snatched a late 1-1 draw with Cardiff City yesterday, but have still found themselves drifting down the league since Zola took over.
Birmingham fans, what do you think to this news? Would Pearson be a good replacement? Let us know in the comments!
