Up-and-coming Birmingham City players Odin Bailey and Jude Bellingham have shared a touching exchange on Twitter.

Two of the most exciting prospects to come out of the Blues academy in recent years, Bailey and Bellingham both made their debut for the Midlands club this season.

The latter has turned heads with his performances for Pep Clotet's side, grabbing four goals and three assists in his 35 appearances this term, and has reportedly drawn the attention of the likes of Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, and Chelsea.

Bailey has taken a different route. The 20-year-old featured from the bench a number of times during the first half of the campaign but moved to Forest Green Rovers in January.

The Blues loanee, who can play across the forward line or in attacking midfield, hadn't had long to impress before the delay to the season.

Bailey has featured five times for the League Two side so far, scoring once and providing one assist, but has made his only strike a special one.

His long-range strike effort against Grimsby Town in February has been nominated for Quest's goal of the season and it certainly seems to have impressed Bellingham, who has urged fans to vote for it.

That has been well-received by Bailey, who reached out to show his appreciation.

The Verdict

This is a touching exchange between Bailey and Bellingham, both of whom look like really bright prospects.

At this point, it seems like the latter is set to leave St Andrew's this summer but Bailey looks as though he could have a role to play for them in the future.

It will be interesting if he becomes part of Clotet's first-team squad next season.
