Birmingham City midfielder Koby Arthur is reportedly set for a move to one of two Championship sides, according to reports in his home country Ghana.

Former play-off semi-final duo Brentford and Ipswich Town are set to be lining up a move for the out-of-contract midfielder but the Blues are hopeful that Arthur will accept the new contract that they have offered the 19-year-old.

The teenager joined the Blues in 2012 from non-league side Woodford United but it is now suggested that the youngster wants to leave the club and play more first-team football in order to push for the chance to play on the international stage.

As a versatile player, Arthur can play on both wings, as well as in the middle and up front. He would be a great addition to both clubs if they could prize him away from Gary Rowett’s side.

If a move did materialise for the 5ft 6ins player, a compensation fee would have to be paid because he is under the age of 24. If he did move on, the most likely destination for him would be Brentford as Ipswich Town are set to seal the deal for Arsenal youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles on a season long loan.

Birmingham City fans, would you be sad to see Koby Arthur leave? Or do you think the club has better players than him? Let us know in the comment section down below!
