Birmingham City welcome Blackpool to St Andrew's on Saturday hoping to build on their goalless draw at high flying Coventry City in midweek.

Neil Critchley's impressive Tangerines come into the match having lost just two of their last 12 Championship outings, slipping away from the play-off race a touch in recent weeks with three straight draws. Blackpool were also involved in a goalless draw in midweek with third placed West Bromwich Albion but will fancy their chances against a depleted Blues side who suffered an injury and another suspension in midweek.

Team news

Marcel Oakley sustained a knock in midweek which means he is unlikely to be ready in time for this afternoon's fixture. While Ryan Woods' red card means he joins Gary Gardner on the suspension list, Maxime Colin, George Friend, Jordan Graham and Tahith Chong make up the longer term absentees.

There may be an opportunity for Lee Bowyer to bring a youngster into central midfield with Riley McGree likely to drop in and play alongside Ivan Sunjic in the middle of the park.

As for Blackpool, Richard Keogh stands a fighting chance of making the trip while Reece James and Gary Madine picked up minor knocks in midweek but could still feature. Chris Maxwell, Luke Garbutt, Kevin Stewart, Matty Virtue and Grant Ward remain longer term absentees for the visitors.
