Birmingham City are sweating over the future of Jude Bellingham, who scored during the 1-1 draw with Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday’s visit of Cardiff gave Pep Clotet a chance to make it three wins out of three in all competitions after beating Blackburn (FA Cup) and Luton Town in their last two games, respectively.
It has proved to be a tough season so far for the Blues, having struggled to build a consistent run of form, so Bellingham’s opener in the fourth minute gave fans some optimism of extending the recent run.
The 16-year-old continued his impressive form by scoring, but Clotet’s side could not hold on to their lead, seeing Lee Tomlin level just after the hour mark.
Whilst a third straight win did not materialise, Clotet is likely to have been happy that his side held on for a draw and made it three games unbeaten.
The Spanish coach will now be hoping his side can kick start their season and move up the table, but fans are still expecting at least one new signing this month in the January transfer window.
With just under two weeks left though, it remains to be seen if Clotet will bring anyone in, and if he can keep hold of his most prized asset in Bellingham.

Multi-million pound bid from Man United arrives
Bellingham has burst on to the scene with Blues this season and added to his reputation on Saturday as he netted the opener against Cardiff City.
Following that interest, Manchester United were claimed to have submitted an official bid last week, and that has left Clotet, club officials and fans of the Blues on tender hooks.
Further claims have said that Birmingham have told United that a deal could be agreed if a loan agreement for Bellingham back to the club was included.
According to reports, the Blues have been linked with Lee Gregory of Stoke City as the look to bolster their attacking options.
Since arriving at the Bet365 Stadium last summer, Gregory has struggled to find the back of the net and interest has since emerged from a whole host of Championship clubs to hand him a fresh start.
Should the Blues sign Gregory then the striker would arrive to provide competition to Alvaro Gimenez and Lukas Jutkiewicz.
Marcus Maddison update emerges
Maddison has been in superb form for Peterborough this season and his form has led to a number of interested Championship clubs, including Birmingham.
The Sun claim that the Posh are willing to accept the right offer from Birmingham for Maddison, who will his current contract expire in the summer.
Maddison has scored nine goals in 21 League One games this season, providing six assists in the process.
