Birmingham City have completed the signing of Watford forward Diego Fabbrini on loan until the end of the season, the club have confirmed.
Fabbrini now becomes the second Watford player to join Gary Rowett’s Birmingham side. The Italian follows in the footsteps of 32-year-old winger Lloyd Dyer who signed for his boyhood club in January.
The versatile playmaker can play as both a midfielder and striker. He has already been out on loan once this season to Millwall and was in the starting XI when the Lions beat his new team 1-0 a month ago.
When he joined the struggling championship side, Fabbrini signed on a 93 day loan deal and his move to Birmingham is a similar one which means he can play up until the last game of the season, which is a repeat fixture of last season, Bolton Wanderers away.
There hasn’t been much in comings at St.Andrews on the loan deadline day but the addition of Diego Fabbrini will add that little bit of extra flair to a Birmingham side who have lost a bit of form in recent weeks.
