Birmingham City are set to complete the signing of former Ipswich Town winger Paul Anderson, according to HITC Sport.
The ex-Liverpool trainee is a free agent after being released from his contract with the Tractor Boys at the end of last season.
The 26-year-old made 68 appearances for Ipswich, scoring seven goals, during his two years at Portman Road.
A number of clubs were alerted to Anderson’s contract situation but it now looks as though Gary Rowett has persuaded Anderson to make the switch to St. Andrews.
Rowett is in the market for attacking recruits as he looks to build on an impressive 10th placed finish last season, with Anderson being an integral part of his plans moving forward.
The ex-Nottingham Forest winger will become Rowett’s first summer signing and a deal could be completed in the next couple of days.
Birmingham Fans… Are you happy with the signing of Anderson?
